1.) I just bought a 65hp J3. The air speed is not original and it only reads 40 MPH in cruise and goes to 0 when landing. Scares me with my first cub. Question is, can the airspeed gauge read different in different airplanes. It seems to move with power adjustments ok, just not the right numbers. I see the Wag Aero has new ones for north of $400. If that fixes it, I don't mind buying one; just don't want to end up with the same readings.

2.) The tail wheel that came with this is a big honking Maule 102. It looks heavy, it does not caster, period, and it sets the tail too high. What do you recommend? I see Lang and Maule in Aircraft Spruce.
