Across the Country flight

Hey all,
This September I'll be helping to bring a 1940 J3 out from Indiana to the Seattle area. It doesn't have an electrical system, so I'm wondering if any of you that have done this could offer some advice. With no transponder or ads-b, I'm sure I'll find lots of places I'll need to avoid as the flight planning gets going. I've done this flight the other way in a 172 on straight floats, and flown other small planes across the country, but never without a transponder and limited radios.
