AAF vs. AC mag switch (A-7)

Did the Piper line both use the AAF and AC A-7 mag switch interchangeably?

They look identical, except the AAF has a better detent for each position you cant see it unless you take the switch apart. Where as the AC switch has the detent positions from the contacts.

The guts are identical too.
