Gentlemen,
The table of limits we find on the A65 Manuals (and all engines) always express the dimensional limits as tight (T) or loose(L), as we see in the attached table.
For instance, taking the "Exhaust valve in guide" limits we see it is 0.0047"L (max. new part max).
What shall we understand?
The value 0.0047" is the clearance we obtain when subtracting the valve stem OD from the guide ID, meaning the difference on the diameters?
Or 0.0047" is half the value above, meaning the difference in radius?
Also, measuring the inside diameter of a valve guide is quite tricky because it varies substantially along the hole.
Does anyone has an advice when taking this measurement?
